First Day of School - 1st Grade

Well, we got Nate off on the bus this morning. He was headed to his first day of school with his new teacher, Mrs. Lake. He was up by 630, I had told him no earlier than 730 hoping that would keep him in bed just a little longer , but I had been laying in my bed looking at the clock for about 20 minutes beacuse Jackie had come in to snuggle and woken me, and I figured he was going to be up early anyway.

He was very excited. He did not want me to pack his lunch, because he wanted to buy it in the cafeteria, they had the option of hotdogs or tuna subs. He thought those sounded good to him.

While waiting for the bus, I had a hard time getting him to take a semi-serious picture. He had absolutely no problem getting on the bus, he was ready to hop on almost before she had stopped.

Jackie was so easy this morning, I was a little concerned she might get upset when he got on the bus but she waved goodbye with a smile. We then played outside for a while after we got Nate on the bus. It is such a beautiful morning, and now she is having a snack while watching Blue's Clues. I think it is going to be so nice to have the time to spend with her for a while I have missed it.
