My Grandfather

Well, for those of you who are interested my Grandfather died this past Monday afternoon after being diagnosed with Brain cancer in May.

He lived to be 77, was a wonderful man who taught me many wonderful things.

For example,

The dishes in the sink are not done until the counter is cleaned off and the sink is clean. I still make use of this.

The lawn/grass should be mowed a different direction every time you cut it, and the spots that you miss are called "holidays" 'cause you must have been taking a holiday when you missed them the first time.

That golf is an enjoyable, yet at times frustrating game, especially when the ball goes into the woods for the third time in 2 holes.

That eggs are so much better (although not as healthy) when cooked in a bit of the grease from the bacon. YUM!

That it is OK for a grown man to cry at a good movie.

That marriage is a wonderful thing. (He and my grandmother were married for 57 years)

He also showed us all how much he loved us every day, whether he told us or not, but he always had a smile for us.

With all of my love Grampa, I will miss you.
